The NCAA released this years recruiting and eligibility guide.
According to the NCAA, of the nearly 8 million high school athletes, just 495,000 (approx. 6%) will compete at NCAA schools. And of those NCAA athletes, about 2% receive scholarship money to compete (and the % is much smaller and sport specific for full-scholarships). Here is a useful breakdown of the percentages of high school to college and college to professional by certain sports.
